Big Bad Troublemaker - Anthony Camara

via TSN

December 28th 2012 Ufa Arena, Anthony Camara get's a game misconduct for injuring opposing blueliner Patrik Luza in Canada's match against Slovakia at the World Juniors.
Although the call could have easily gone either way, as Luza kept his head down and Camara caught the Slovak with a blindside hit , it was not the first time he generated headlines for less courageous reasons.

There should be no doubt that Camara is one of the more talented guys in the Bruins prospect pool, especially due to his combination of skill and physical play.
The 6-foot-1 Left Wing managed to hit 60 points in 50 games for the Barrie Colts last season, almost duplicating his numbers from the 2011-12 season where he even dressed in 16 more games.
Camara, known for cumulating penalty minutes, reached 91 of them last season which is still innocent compared to his more than 130 PIM's he reached in each of the last two seasons.
Now one could think that he matured, concentrating more on his skill than his physical play, but things look a little bit different after the OHL finals.
In the OHL playoffs he was a point per game player with 9 goals and 7 assists in 16 games, while collecting 42 penalty minutes.
The 19-year old received three game missconducts in his last 7 playoff games this season, two of them in the OHL finals against the London Knights.
Camara has been suspended for the balance of the championship series after a blindside hit against fellow Bruins prospect Seth Griffith in game 5.
The suspension was a clear statement from the OHL when the previous infractions are taken into account.
(He left his feet and made contact to the head of Max Domi in game 2 and didn't get suspended)
Both charging majors/game missconducts happened after Camara came out of the penalty box with the intention to hit an unsuspecting player.
Camara also incurred a three-game suspension earlier in the playoffs for flipping the puck into the crowd during a game against the Kingston Frontenacs.
One should never forget that he's only 19, but his behaviour in the playoffs proves that he has yet a lot to learn about disciplined play.
Camara's learning process will take place in Providence next season when he'll play for the P-Bruins in the AHL.
If he learns to play hard and smart at the same time, Bruins fans will love him and his style of playing the game.
If not, he'll neither be able to obtain his full potential, nor reach the Promised Land called NHL.
Just like Seth Griffith, Camara will be part of the Bruins development camp for the second time and as I already said yesterday, if you have any chance to go there DO IT !
