It's always sunny in Florida - 2015 NHL Mock Draft - Episode 2

Former Bruins 2nd round picks Ryan Spooner, Alexander Khokhlachev, Linus Arnesson and Ryan Donato
6 days before the draft, it's about time to take a look at this years draft class and who the Bruins might pick with their 7 choices. In this episode we highlight the 2nd round.

All picks are made with the assumption of no trades involving this years draft picks

With the 37th overall pick in the 2015 NHL entry draft, the Boston Bruins are proud to select

from the Niagara Ice Dogs of the OHL Vince Dunn

This was a tough choice, but with going forward in the 1st round I think the Bruins have to go Defense with their 2nd round selection. Chara is not getting any younger and Seidenbergs last season wasn't the greatest to say at least. With Matt Grzelcyk and Linus Arnesson the Bruins have just two defenseman drafted in the top 90 over the last 3 years. To be fair, Vince Dunn is still 3-4 years away from playing in the NHL but adds mobility and playmaking to the B's blueline, two things they especially missed last season.

Dunn finished his 2nd season with the Niagara Ice Dogs, the team Dougie Hamilton played for before beeing drafted by the Bruins in 2011. He almost doubled his point production from his rookie season with 56 points (18 goals + 38 assists) in 68 games. With 6'0'' Dunn is not the biggest defenseman but he's known for outworking bigger opponents. If the Bruins decide to go size over talent Jonas Siegenthaler (ZSC, Switzerland) and Erik Cernak (Kosice, Slovakia) are the other D options at 37th. Best available forward to me is Zach Senyshyn (RW, St. Marie Greyhounds).
